Lizz Hochstedler is a multidisciplinary artist based in Bridgehampton, NY, whose work encompasses oil painting, embroidery, film photography, stop-motion, and performance art. Her creative journey is deeply inspired by her travels, having explored 24 states in an RV, drawing from the landscapes, cultures, and histories she encountered. This nomadic lifestyle has shaped her evolving artistic vision, infusing her work with vibrant color palettes that express emotion, light, movement, and the diverse beauty of the world around her.
Lizz’s influences include artists like Salvador Dali, Georgia O'keeffe, Robert Delaunay, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Wes Anderson as well as the myriad places and people she’s encountered along the way. Her work has been exhibited in The Hamptons, NY, and San Diego, with notable exhibitions at The Long House (2016), Guild Hall (2016), Point Loma Nazarene University, Keller Gallery (2020), and Ashawagh Hall (2024).
Awarded First Place for Young Artist at The Long House (2016), Best Actress in a Short Film (2019) and Best Short Film (2019), Lizz’s creative journey is an ongoing exploration of how travel and cultural immersion shape artistic expression.
